2000
A Brief History
In the year 2000 Rev. Fr. Ethelbert Ukpabi recognized that there was a vacuum in the church due to the number of parishioners leaving the Catholic church. This led to a meeting between Fr. Ethelbert Ukpabi andan impressive turnout of young professionals at the Catholic church of the Assumption, after evening mass, on the 15th of June 2000. Over the next few months the YCP was createdas a jubilee gift to God.

Our Directorates
Admin Directorate
Hello! Over here, we carry out all administrative duties. This includes; recording minutes of the society's meetings, composing formal communication to all stakeholders and managing member database.
Finance Directorate
Hi there. This is the finance directorate where we monitor and present the organizations account, manage the account and collect monthly dues used in daily operation of the society.
Membership Directorate
Welcome to the membership directorate. This is where we recruit professionals who aspire to grow and connect. We also implement plans that benefit members and celebrate their wins and anniversaries.
Professional Directorate
Welcome Professionals! Over here we ensure members and the society grow and operate at a high standard. We create development programs and assist with materials like courses, books, documentaries etc.
Social Directorate
Ciao people. You can be rest assured a lot of hangouts, networking and activities take place in this directorate. Without stating the obvious, we are tasked with the planing of all events or functions of the society.
Liturgy Directorate
Hello professionals. At our directorate we are responsible for the smooth flow of the liturgical ministry of the society. We also liaise with the parish priest to plan for the seasonal liturgical celebrations of the society.
Welfare Directorate
Greetings and welcome to welfare. Over here we plan and execute visitations to our members and members of other societies within the parish. See you soon.
How to Become a Member

Attend meetings
You can attend our meetings which takes place on the 1st Sunday of every month. This holds at the Ethelbert hall, . CCOTP.

Pay your dues
You will be expected to pay monthly dues of about 1,000 Naira. This fee is subject to review and can be changed in the future.
3
Get inducted
When you achieve 75% attendance and dues, you will be inducted officially as a member. This happens over a period of six months
